Accident at the stable - Tuesday 12th June 2007 highlights

by Nakonkona @ Wednesday, 13. Jun, 2007 - 19:45:52

The horse stable is a place where they keep the horses. there is where they train the horses and at times people ranging from 5-99 years go for horse lessons. the accident happened to one of the visitor's (tourists)kid (the kid was black and the rest of the family was white (may be adopted). the kid was riding the horse and it happened by mistake made the horse to run faster, that is where the problem came. the horse ran faster the threw the kid down. oooh my God the my heart skipped a bit, i thought the kid is dedi. the mother picked her and started consoling her. ha the paparazzis, missed the golden chance to report the incident. i wish i had a camera i would have made good news and the papers would have sold.

SAFETY.
On the issue of safety, the resort is doing badly, if i was to give marks, i would have given them 20%. You go to the toilet you will not find there condoms (ha ha ha ha dont laugh)

The fire extinguishers are nowhere to be seen. for instance, you cannot see the extinguishers hanged in the corridors in most of the hotel premises.

GLANCED IN THE KITCHEN.

have you ever glanced in the kitchens of the most big hotels?

Monday highlights evening - Cont

by Nakonkona @ Wednesday, 13. Jun, 2007 - 19:25:22

The delegates were treated to a traditional entertainment after the meeting. there was lots of drinks and nyama choma. the tradional dancers were Ndere troupes, they put up a good show, displaying dances from different culture. the evening was lively. i jumped into the wagon and drunk the amarula (not the comedy family.

The day did not end well for Prof. Latigo ogeng the Opposition leader in the 8th Parliament. The Prof. was interacting with delegates and having good time, unfortumately there was a fracas caused by the one of the waitresses, which annoyed the opposition leader, though you could see him quiet, but the face was really angry. anyway it was sad for the waitress because the good opp. leader took further step and reported the matter to the management, and the waitress had to lose her job, (the prof. dot had a heart for the poor girl, where is she going to go!)

left for home at 11.00pm and getting means of transport was a problem. you know when you are in Munyo, you fear to ask for a lift, no one is gonna stop for you. i had to hire boda to take me up to the main road from Gaba Beach. i managed to get a taxi. i reach home towards Mid-night. i ddnt see the kids found all asleep. my God they are missing me.

highlights of Monday - Cont. Nauseating dog

by Nakonkona @ Wednesday, 13. Jun, 2007 - 11:55:30

In the coumpound near the stable restaurant, there was sickly dog (nauseating)loitering. it looked like having rabies. one of the visitors (may be a journalist) was scared to death and he suggested that the dog be killed. the good thing there was no animal activists. anyway the dog looks to be a resident of Munyonyo.
